An industrial design is less costly than patent, and serves to protect the visual features of your original product. Once registered, a design is valid for up to 15 years.

An industrial design, sometimes referred to as a design patent, serves to protect the visual features of your original product. A registered design in Canada is valid for up to 15 years.

Industrial designs are applied to a wide variety of products:
